We gave an update on the business and shared some development work that is now underway. This included the Zip Buy Now Pay Later integration which is now live with our first club, our integration work with InCrowd, our partnerships with Secutix and Ticketmaster and our EPOS upgrade project.
We then had guest speakers from Openpay and American Express who discussed their payment solutions…
Openpay is a Buy Now Pay Later integration which can be added to your retail solution quickly and allows customers to pay interest free, flexible, monthly payments.
Openpay can increase customer conversion and increase ATV by up to 100% whilst reducing returns by up to 20%. Openpay also refund the fees on returns (minus a couple of transaction costs) and offer 2-6 month plan lengths. Payment is in full to retailers (minus the Openpay costs) the next business day and they take full responsibility for getting customers to pay.

Pay with Bank Transfer is an open banking payment solution which is backed and powered by Amex, but open to anybody with a UK bank account. It can be added to your retail store checkout as an additional way to pay.
Pay with Bank Transfer works with the customer securely logging in to their online banking, confirming their order and payment with the funds then sent directly to retailers by Faster Payment (which means money is received within 2 hours). There is no prior sign up or app needed as Pay With Bank Transfer works with connections to UK banks.
Paying by bank transfer will be one of the cheapest payment solutions you offer as there is a cheaper cost per transaction and no chargebacks. It’s a mobile first solution but is also available via link over the phone, in store via QR code and in app with integration.
